A production background from the Nickelodeon Studios animated series “The Ren and Stimpy Show” (1991-1996). Featuring a fairly ominous view of a dark room beyond a doorway, the hand-painted background was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The background is an actual piece of animation that was photographed and appears in the sixth episode of season five, titled “School Mates,” which aired on November 11, 1995. Measuring 10.75"x13.75" overall, with the image itself measuring 10.5"x5", the background is in fine condition with minimal handling wear from studio use.
