A production cel set-up from the Disney Studios first-full length animated film "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" (1937). Featuring Doc, angry and clenching his fists towards Dopey, Happy, and Sneezy, the hand-painted cel set-up was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The cels are actual frames of animation that were photographed and appear in the groundbreaking film. The piece measures 17"x16" matted, with the opening measuring 7.5"x9" and the character image measuring 4.5"x8.5". The cel was originally prepared by the studio for sale at the Courvoisier Galleries and is in very good condition with warping and rippling consistent with age. It features traditional characteristics of a Courvoisier setup, including the cel being trimmed and paired with an airbrushed and painted wood grain background. The mat shows significant corner wear, including the top right and bottom left being completely torn.
